Contact me at 303-973-2578 or COLUMBINEQUILTING@COMCAST.NET and I can give you an estimate on turning your quilt top into a treasure.

Machine quilting is priced by the square inch.  You can figure the square inches of your quilt by multiplying the width and length.  For example:  30” wide x 50” long = 1500 square inches.

An over all pattern (also called edge-to-edge) is a pattern that runs the width of the quilt and is repeated for a number of rows for the length of the quilt.

Edge-to-Edge (all over) design                                $.025 a square inch

Edge-to-Edge with one custom border                    $.03 a square inch

Edge-to-Edge with two custom borders                 $.04 a square inch

Custom quilting(pattern in each block and sashing)    $.06 a square inch

Machine Basting for hand quilting                        $.015 a square inch

An option for the hand quilter or the machine quilter who doesn’t have the room or time to layer and baste their quilts.  The basting is approximately 4 inches apart using 2 stitches per inch and the edges are stabilized.

Additional Services

 Binding:     $.15 per linear inch

This service includes cutting your fabric into strips, sewing them together, attaching the binding to the front of the quilt by machine.  The binding is now ready for the customer to hand sew on the back.

You can figure the linear inches of your quilt by measuring the length and width of your quilt, add those figures together then double that number.  Example:  width measures 30” and the length measures 50”;   30” + 50” = 80” x 2 = 160”.  The total linear inches of your quilt would be 160”.

  •  Hanging Sleeves                   $20.00

Hand stitch a hanging sleeve onto the back of the quilt as part of the binding process (fabric required 8” x width of quilt).
